Emmy ratings set another record low
The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards averaged a meager 11.3 million viewers Sunday, worse than last year's record low of 11.9 million.
Preliminary Nielsen ratings show the telecast, which aired live in all time zones, suffered against competition from NBC's Sunday Night Football, and was even approached by the opener of CBS's The Case of JonBenet Ramsay miniseries, which drew 10.3 million.
The turnout compares unfavorably to the Emmys' recent high in 2013, when 17.6 million tuned it to see Modern Family and Breaking Bad win the top awards.
ABC's Jimmy Kimmel hosted Sunday's Emmys, as he did in 2012, the last time they aired on the network. Unlike other awards shows, the Emmy Awards rotates among the four major broadcast networks. Last year, Fox's broadcast, hosted by Andy Samberg, followed that network's own late-afternoon football telecast.
Nielsen Social reports that 1.4 million people generated 2.7 million interactions on Facebook and Twitter Sunday night, easily tops among non-sports TV shows for the week.

Coolio Arrested After Stolen Loaded Weapon Found in Bag at LAX
Coolio was arrested Saturday at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after a loaded firearm was discovered in the rapper's carry-on bag during a security screening. Coolio was charged with both possession of a firearm by a felon and suspicion of possessing a stolen loaded firearm after it was determined that the gun involved had been reported stolen.
According to police, Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey Jr., actually boarded the plane after passing through security at LAX's Terminal 3 when the firearm was discovered in his carry-on bag, which the rapper's bodyguard attempted to pass through security.

Avatar: Discover Pandora touring exhibition to launch in December
Avatar: Discover Pandora, a high-tech interactive exhibition inspired by James Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi blockbuster, will launch its worldwide tour Dec. 7 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Inhabiting 12,000 square feet, the attraction will immerse visitors in Avatar’s settings (the Hallelujah Mountains, the Tree of Souls), wildlife (banshees, direhorses, viperwolves), and science (space travel, AMP suits) — and of course the culture of the 9-foot blue humanoids known as the Na’vi.
Discover Pandora will run for three months in Taipei before moving on to unspecified global markets.
Much like the Avatar-themed Cirque du Soleil show Toruk, Discover Pandora will look to renew and maintain interest in Cameron’s sci-fi franchise, which has yet to produce a big-screen sequel nearly seven years after the release of the first film. Avatar remains the highest-grossing movie of all time, and several more installments are still in the works.
