Author Elf

If you’ve ever had a child involved in Girl Scouts, you’ve probably heard the story about the Brownie Elf. Two children want to find an elf to help their grandmother and the wise owl sends them to a lake, but all they see in the water’s reflection are themselves.  They become the helper elves, cleaning their grandmother’s kitchen every day before she gets up.

As an author, I’m painfully aware that we’re pulled in 50 directions all at once. Deadlines and edits have to fit in around oil changes and laundry (and vice versa).  When is there time to update our website and add that new release that comes out next week?  And what about the newsletter you promised yourself would go out monthly, which is now bi-seasonal?

We need an office assistant, but most of us can’t afford the manpower.

But what if we had an elf working behind the scenes and filling in the gaps for us?

That’s the idea behind Author Elf.

My wife, Lisa (also an author) and I started this because we get it. And we want to help authors do what they love, which is writing, without drowning in everything else that comes along with it.

Every author is different. Some need more help with updating their website, some need help writing that pesky newsletter, some just need a reminder that it’s time to post another blog.

We think you should only pay for what you need.

Sound helpful?  We hope so!

And while this is starting as a kind of virtual assistant for authors, if you sing or are in a band, many of the same services could help you, too!  Music Elf won't be up and running for a little while, yet, but feel free to stop by and check us out!  We just might have an elf for you!
