It's been a crazy-busy week at the Kessler Family Compound.
We have three dogs, all roughly the same age (10-12). The largest of the three (she's a pointer) is accident and trauma prone, and just came back from surgery. So we've been enjoying trying to keep a t-shirt or cone on her. She has not been enjoying it as much. Actually, we haven't really been enjoying it either.
Fortunately, this was not her.

A much happier thing that has been occupying our time has been the release of Lisa's new novella, Night Thief! It's now available at Amazon for Kindle (on the left), and Barnes and Noble for Nook (on the right).
By the way, for those of you with Nooks, in celebration of the new novella, Lisa has made "Across The Veil" free! You can grab that right here!
Lisa is also having a new release party tomorrow (Thursday, October 4) over on Twitter. Just click on her picture on the left (that's her power suit) to get to her page, and make sure you're following her so you can win some cool stuff!
In the meantime, I've been scrambling to find advertisers and get everything ready for the annual re-launch of my Christmas station, and I'm sure I'll have plenty more details about that soon!
Through all the chaos of real life, somehow I still managed to drop a few more pounds (even though the official weigh-in isn't until tomorrow). Maybe I was too busy to eat badly. I think we all know that's not true.
Anyway, most recently, I've been listening to my Halloween Playlist. Tis the season, after all. Here's what shuffled out today...
Men At Work "Dr. Heckyll and Mr. Jive"
The Eagles "Witchy Woman"
Howlin' Wolf "Evil"
Los Lobos "Grim Grinning Ghosts"
Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I Put A Spell On You"
Alice Cooper "Welcome To My Nightmare'
Warren Zevon "Werewolves Of London"
The Five Blobs "The Blob"
Oingo Boingo "Weird Science"
Don Hinson & the Rigamorticians "Riboflavin-Flavored, Non-Carbonated, Polyunsaturated Blood"
Jace Everett "Bad Things"
Concrete Blonde "Bloodletting"
Hopes this helps you get into the Halloween Spirit! And that you're up to something better than wearing the Cone of Shame!
Ken
